I wanted to capture an area in the Forbidden City where no one walked, a desolute area...but it was impossible. People, tourists were coming by left and right. It was almost empty when I took this, except for this woman as you can see...but I editted it to give it a little more character I guess.

Maybe if we could see the hard lines on her face or the hardships through her hand it would have evoked something more. I've been editting a lot more lately, using the aged effect more often than I'd like. But I realized a lot of photos...the structure is there, it's a matter of depicting it in a way, that you'll feel something. Something, anything. Even disgust. Haha. Hence, the major edits of images lately. I'll try.
