Waiting...

This scene is all so familiar here, and still...all the yet familiar back home. It's reminiscent of the crowd of Mexican workers that can be found along 65th Street in Brooklyn, waiting daily for a chance to work. They're all if not most manual labor jobs, picking up and moving things, or construction jobs where skills are needed. I'd say I have the skill even if I don't.

The shady looking van pulling up to the corner of the block, the many who practically scream, "Pick Me! Pick Me!" the few select who get chosen, and the many who turn around, disappointed until the next chance pulls up.

Here. In China. It's just the same.
