This is Su Zhou. Also known as China's Gondolas of Venice. I have yet to go visit Venice but if it's anything like this...I'm going to love it. It has this old world charm. As you pass by on your little tourist boat, you're looking into the lives of people who really live along this river, their little kitchens perching out right before you, dark and seemingly deserted, a bucket by the door for what the more fortunate have the comfort and privacy of a bathroom, a quaint porch with flowers growing for a small pot. It's quite a sight to see.
